DTI and METAS have developed a flow meter performance tester for pulsating flow. The METAS setup covers a flow rate range of 1 ml/min to 1 ml/min with uncertainties ranging from 0.2% to 2.7%, depending on the flow rate and the fit window used. The DTI setup covers a flow rate range of 1 ml/min to 17 ml/min with uncertainties ranging from 0.03 % to 1.5 %, depending on the flow rate and the fit window used. These performance testers have been validated by means of an intercomaprison for a pulsatile flow generator.
